1928 "Amos and Andy" debuts on radio (NBC Blue Network-WMAQ Chicago), underscoring the difficulty African-American men face when confronting their sexual desires for other men.
1931 Nevada legalizes gambling.  Glamour, sex and violence are subsequent side benefits.
1954 Willie Mosconi sets a world record by running 526 consecutive balls while wearing a tuxedo without a miss during a straight pool exhibition at East High Billiard Club in Springfield, Ohio. The record still stands today, but there hasn't been a gay pool exhibition yet.
 
1977 Last episode of "Mary Tyler Moore Show" airs on CBS-TV.
